Windows Error: No script engine for extension “.vbs”

Hiya all,
I’ve encountered error when I tried to uninstall some windows application.
It turned out that because the uninstallation were using vb script, so it triggered error:
No script engine for extension “.vbs”
now, reading the error it is obvious what happened right, yes it is because of file extension error.
Usually this thing won;t happened, because windows already have the script engine in:
So why this thing happened? there are two possibilities. Either the SWcript.exe is missing or corrupt or some other program takes over as vbs engine and that program either corrupt or missing or in my case already uninstalled.
Just for your information, in my computer the vbs engine was using bluefish (I don’t event remember when I allowed the program to take over the ownership of the extension, damn!).
Now for you who curious what is bluefish program, here is the link:

About Bluefish

Bluefish is a powerful editor targeted towards programmers and webdevelopers, with many options to write websites, scripts and programming code. Bluefish supports many programming and markup languages. See features for an extensive overview, take a look at the screenshots, or download it right away. Bluefish is an open source development project, released under the GNU GPL licence.

Bluefish is a multi-platform application that runs on most desktop operating systems including Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS-X, Windows, OpenBSD and Solaris.

when you installed it, somehow it takes over WScript as the default engine for vbs file.
Now you say, how can we repair the error? whether it is because of bluefish software or not.
There are two ways:

You can reinstall WScript program from windows website (version 5.7):

Or you can just using regedit, go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, move to ,vbs folder and edit the (default) value to “VBSFile”. Now exit regedit and voila, you can run vb script again…

Btw. you can’t use the explorer’s file association editing (in explorer>tools>folder options>file types) because it won’t work (I haven’t tried to delete the file association and create new vbs extension file association to test it whether it work or not, I only tried to edit the program association of vbs file and it didn’t work).
