changing password policy in domain server


Just simple configuration, but I find without the manual book or “windows server for dummy” book, it actually hard to find. At least for me.
So back again, how to change the policy setting about password length? It is obviously inside the group policy setting.
now to do that, again we can open the mmc program (open run and type mmc and push enter).
after the mmc opened, go to file then search in the middle and click menu that said about add remove something 😛
there, add to the right position the one titled “group policy management editor”, click confirmation button.
now you are being presented window like pictured below, open to sub-sub-sub and on and on until you reach the sub menu like the one circled in red, which is “password policy”, there you are free to edit the setting, like from the example below I already change the password length to 7 and password complexity to disabled state. Just double click it to bring up the option…
